Step 1

Assess Broken Plastic

Broken plastic components are restored prior to 3D scanning by plastic welding fragmented pieces to recreate the original structure. The part is then cleaned, sanded, surface-prepared, and cleaned to remove irregularities and produce a stable, scan-ready geometry for accurate digital capture and reverse engineering.

3D Scanning & Modeling

We model, analyze, and optimize the scanned geometry to ensure it is structurally sound and suitable for 3D printing. This includes repairing any scan imperfections, reinforcing weak areas, and making design adjustments to enhance durability and performance.

Adding Decursa Magic and Prototyping

We will analyze the CAD, create a protoype, understand how the part broke previously and add our 'Decursa Magic' to the design to ensure it is stronger and more durable than the original part. Using design techniques incombination with material characteristics and properties to deliver a final product.
